My Mind Wanders

[J]

I sit here staring out the window, watching the rain trickle down the glass pane. The monotonous tapping is soothing. My mind wanders to the thoughts of us. Thinking back to our conversations this week. How easy it is to share my raw emotions with you. You make me feel safe, something I haven’t felt in a long time. I know I can tell you anything, and you won’t judge.

My thoughts drift to your body. How beautiful you are. I see your gorgeous caramel skin under the soft glow of the lamp in my bedroom. Your dark brown curls cascading over your shoulders, framing your face perfectly. The way your eyes change from a light hazel to a deep brown when you’re passionate or aroused.

I find myself thinking of the way you taste. The sweet strawberries and cream fragrance you wear always drives me wild. I can still feel your soft lips against mine, tasting your honeyed entrance as I kiss you passionately. Your moans of delight echo in my mind.

I want to hold you close, to protect you from the harsh realities of the world. I want to build a safe haven for us, where we can just be ourselves, free from the expectations and demands of others. You are my muse, my inspiration. With you, I am whole.

I return to the present moment, the rain still tapping against the window. I smile, knowing that no matter how far my mind wanders, it always finds its way back to you. You are my home, my comfort. I will always look forward to the moments we share, creating our own little universe one word at a time.
